"6Moons Srajan" takes a look at Zu Cable's top level speaker and, wouldn't you know it, gives out a coveted Blue Moon award. Srajan previously awarded the smaller Zu Druids the Lunar Eclipse award for being just unbelievably good. But once he heard the Definition he traded his Druids and Zu Method subwoofer (yes, he bought them) in for the new Definitions.
The Definition clocks in at $9000 and sports double 10" full range drivers. If you look closely at the picture, you'll see four 10" woofers along the back. Those woofers are powered internally and provide near 16Hz depth. Srajan says the Definitions sound stage like a giant and I believe it.
I'm partial to Zu for their cutting-edge technology and in-house design - these guys aren't another chop shop but the real deal. Already huge in Asia, Zu has yet to really break into the US or Euro markets, but expect them to do so soon. If Srajan's lavish praise is any indication, expect to see more of these guys in the pulp publications winning numerous awards. Oh yeah, for $1500 they'll paint your Definitions any sexy automotive color you want. Check out Srajan's review for pictures of a sweet midnight blue paint job.
