Usher's Delectable S-520 Speakers

The product up for review is Usher's magically delicious S-520 speakers and Robert J. Reina of Stereophile says this:

I was a bit partial to the glossy white samples I received, though they made me hungry. They reminded me of Eskimo Pies with the chocolate coatings removed—a compliment.

Wow, things must be pretty rough at Stereophile if food fantasies are creeping into reviews. Either that or another Stereophile reviewer finally cracked. In any case, the specs are $375, 55-20k Hz, 86dB, 8 ohms and 268 net carbs. Reina then holds a taste test between the Usher S-520 and the Infinity Primus 150, Wharfedale Diamod 9.1 and the Epos ELS3.

Hungry for Eskimo Pies...I mean, I could go on and on about how this one line alone is indicative of so many issues in the audio world but...I just -- can't -- stop -- laughing...

Josh, there may be something to this. I prefer to eat regular food while reading business-related magazines, but whenever I read about audio I typically eat Great Vibes Almond Food Bars. These bars also go very well with all the DAP sites. :D

Lol, there ya go. In fact, I bet we'll start seeing manufacturers recommend certain wines and spirits that go well with their products. Fine Chianti with Sonus Faber, micro brew with Zu, Pabst Blue Ribbon with Wilson...you get the idea.
