6Moons Srajan takes a look at PMC's AML1 active super monitor and proclaims it one of the greatest speakers ever...for those who want clarity over, say, tube warmth and all that jazz.

"If it's really the truth you're after -- not what you'd like it to be but what it is as per the actual recording -- I dare predict the AML1 would pass muster with the toughest jury: the guys who were there when the record was cut."

What he means to say is this speaker does exactly what it is intended to do: provide exact clarity for recording studios. Srajan is a tube-monger, so, naturally, he's not all hot and bothered about the integrated Bryston electronics. Though, he does go on to say if he weren't a freakish audiophile, the PMC AML1, with its perfectly mated amplification, would be a no brainer for a KISS solution. Then again, it costs $8500 a pair and comes in either black or blue plastic covering, which is absolutely guaranteed to clash with everything in your living room. That said, I'm sure coveting a pair for my computer rig - it hits 33hz for the love of God!
