Hyperion audio has announced the release of their new Vader-inspired speakers..in March 2006. With 5 months to go, they're a little early with the announcement. But what the heck, check out the vision of things to come from the boys who blew onto the scene a few years ago, garnering comments like:
"The Hyperion replaces my Wilsons. I had upgraded as recently as 1999."
Mighty big talk (Wilsons ain't cheap at $20k...anyone notice a resemblance??), but damn near every review has proclaimed the $4000 HPS-938 speakers as freakishly good. The new HPS-968 (pictured) brings aluminum "spiderless" woofers with big 25Hz extension as well as a new tweeter and an included laser level that sits on top of the cabinet for perfect adjustment (and fulfillment of your Dr. Evil fantasies).
