Stereo Times gets all hot and bothered about the team-switching ATC SCM10A-2 active loudspeakers. By team-switching I mean to say ATC, a pro brand, is curious about the high-end market. Hey, it's worked well for PMC, another British cross-manufacturer. Stereo Times says this:

What is this thing called love? Well for me, in an audio sense, it’s this ATC system.

The ATC system also includes the $2142 CA2 preamp. Interestingly, the $3900 active SCM10A-2 speakers have a range of 70-17k Hz +/- 2dB. He says a subwoofer is needed but, man, that range is really slim, no? If it were a single-driver speaker, I'd understand. But for a 5" woofer mated to a 1" tweeter it seems a little strange. Then again, I'm spec-mongering so read the review to see if it matters.
