Analysis Audio is all about planar speakers. Planar speakers, if you don't know, are the antithesis of traditional speaker drivers. Imagine a giant sheet of Saran Wrap vibrating at different frequencies. Of course, since it's a thin membrane rather than a massive magnet, the excursion isn't as high and, naturally, the speaker must be much larger. The Analysis Omega pictured above stands 66 inches tall, 24" wide and only 2.4 inches deep. That little strip on the right is the high frequency ribbon. Analysis Audio (along with Magnepan) attract cult-like followings and Wayne Donnelly of Superior Audio seems to have become the latest convert:

The Omegas are simply the most satisfying speakers, for every musical genre, that I have ever reviewed.

The most satisflying isn't cheap at $14,990. Interestingly, the Omega has bass all the way down to 22Hz. The smaller Omnicron hits 30Hz in a 44" high package. Pretty impressive for planar speakers without hybrid bass drivers. Check out the review for all the goods.
